Bottle Recycling Project

In 2022 with cooperation from Wendy's Garden Centre in the Save-On parking lot we set up our bins next to the recycling bins.  We collected beverage returnables which we then delivered to the Canmore Bottle Depot. This keeps the recyclables out of the landfill and provides our Lions Club with a fundraiser for our community donations. But our bins filled up so quickly we were having to empty them almost daily. We got permission from Save-On Foods to create a wire fence enclosure for a returnables trailer in their parking lot next to the recycling bins. We drive the trailer filled with  bottles and cans to the bottle depot twice weekly. It's a great fundraiser for our Lions club and a big win for the environment and the community.
